Self Improvement can take in any of four directions:

  1. Developing Positive Attitudes, Habits and Skills.
  2. Reducing the domination of bad habits and attitudes such as laziness.
  3. Getting better at whatever it is (work, task, self) that you are doing.
  4. Acquiring specific new skills.
